When i cut fabric i remove the paper backing before placing on the sticky mat... not left over paper on my matt...

What blade did you use? What pressure did you use? I am cutting fabric, cotton and flannel and having issues...fabric does not cut all the way through...I increase pressure, then it drags and machine makes a ratcheting noise...
This was my question also. Didn't see the answer. What machine or program do you use to sew around all the edges so nicely with your sewing machine? How did you import the shape that you cut into the sewing program? Thanks
that's a professional type embroidery machine. The design came with templates for cutting the tree, star and trunk and then you have a placement line from the design that is stitched out, you place the fabric pieces there and applique with the machine. They are so much fun!!! Embroidery Machine's come single needle that looks a lot like a regular machine or multi needle. The multi needle ones have a bigger design area and a much higher price.

Rutheanne, what blade are you using to cut the fabric? I've tried to cut leather in the past, it didn't work. Glitter foam also did not cut properly. thanks.
you dont have to use it you could you freezer paper and peel it off after cutting. =)
I'm glad to see the first 35 seconds of this video, It let me know the cricut is not for me. If I have to use stabilizers to cut quilt pieces then forget it!

I found the embird software site, but not sure how expensive an embroidery machine must be to use this software. I saw they had a list of maybe a hundred different different machines. Do you think it is reasonable that a home sewer could afford such a machine?
